Robert Pike Obituary

PIKE Mr. Robert Bob Kenyon Pike age 76, of Keystone Heights was called to his eternal home by his Heavenly Father on April 2, 2017 while at home surrounded by his wife and family. He was born in Jacksonville on August 7, 1940 to the late Bill and Aleen (Kenyon) Pike and had served with the United States Marine Corps. After working with Jacksonville Electric Authority as an Instrument and Controls Supervisor, Mr. Pike retired after 20 years. In 1972, he and his wife purchased property in Keystone Heights, becoming permanent residents of the community in 1981. In 1980 he became employed as an Electrical Engineer at Seminole Electric Co-op Inc. in Palatka retiring as the Plant Engineer in 2006. Mr. Pike was a member of Freedom Baptist Church and enjoyed a variety of hobbies, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and sharing God's word. His daughter, Susan Pike had preceded him in death. His survivors are his loving and dedicated wife of almost 57 years, Anna (Wells) and their two children, Lynn Pike Dickinson (Charles) of Keystone Heights and Daniel Pike (Karen) of Nashville, Tennessee. Also left behind are seven grandchildren, Haleigh, Luke, Matthew, Mark, Elizabeth, Michael and Samuel along with two great grandchildren, Harper and Avery; and a sister, Patricia Gay of Jacksonville Beach. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Freedom Baptist Church with a Celebration of Life following at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Jason Stephens will be officiating and the interment will follow at Keystone Heights Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of JONES-GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME, 340 E. WALKER DR. KEYSTONE HEIGHTS, FL 32656. 352-473-3176. www.jonesgallagherfh.com

Hi Ann, I am so sorry for your loss. I don't know if you remember me, but we were in drama together, and I think that you came to my father's church on occasion. It would be wonderful to hear from you. Take care and may you be able to have comfort from the Lord. Mary Helen Margene-Rogan

Dear Karen.
My deepest condolences for your loss. Both Bob and I were the same age and worked in the JEA instrument & control department. Bob for 20 years and me for 34. I was sad to have Bob leave after 20 years because he was always the voice of reason.
I hope that he rests in peace and you can mend your broken heart. My regrets to the family, I'm certain Bob will be missed.
