My first memories of Ruby was when I was a teenager and she worked at Tillers Grocery in Dinsmore. Later she was our Sunday School teacher. She definately loved the Lord and a good joke. She always had a new joke or story to tell. She will be greatly missed. May God grant peace to each of her loved ones.

I am so sorry for your loss. I remember my mom telling me about growing up with your mom and all the funny, crazy things they did as young girls. Some of my fondest childhood memories are going to your house and being with your big, happy family. We lost mom in 1999 and I still miss her and think of her everyday. Weren't we blessed to have such wonderful women to guide and direct our paths? Love to you all.

Donna, Bertha, Rita, Debie, Linda, Warren and all of the grandchildren and great grandchildren of Ms. Ruby, I feel very blessed to have known such a fantastic woman! Her live spirit, wonderful sense of humor, fabulous character and personality and most of all, her love for God has touched and influenced so many. She was a good mother and I say this because of my personal relationship with her, her children and her grandchildren. Through them I can see her works and her accomplishments as a mother. She raised a beautiful family! You are all in my thoughts and prayers. God bless us all!

Mrs. Higinbotham was an outstanding friend to our family. She showed with her life what being a friend and a child of God was all about. I have not seen Mrs. Higginbotham very much in the last few years, but I will always treasure my memories of her. God be with her family at this time and I hope they will find some peace in knowing she was a wonderful and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family and friends and she will be missed.
