I too, miss you so much, I still can't believe you're gone. It's been 5 yrs and I still sleep in the bed cover you bought us.
Baby, not one day goes by when I don't think about your or feel your presence. Yet, it's comforting to know you were laid to rest in the classy suit, tie, shirt, and shoes I bought you. You always wanted a brown pinstriped suit and you were so happy when I came home and surprised you with it... saying " how do I look in this baby (with that sexy smile)? You were so handsome we were so happy just being us. We were laughing, etc. trying to figure out what I was going to wear to coordinate with your new suit and brown Stacey Adams for church only a few weeks later. BUT GOD...he had plans for you to wear it to your heavenly home instead.

"Happy Father's Day", my love. You were a wonderful father to your three adult children Sandy, Bear and Clarence and a great PaPa to your grand children. They brought so much joy to your life and you smiled so intensively every time you would spend time with them or they would call, especially your daughter when she said "hello, father!" (smile). Your sons were your heroes and you were so proud of them both. I can still see you talking about Bear's music venture and Clarence's love for God as you would get up many times on Sunday mornings and take him to church. Your grand-daughters shopping, always supporting them in their activities or just spending family time with them, your brothers and sisters. You were always there for them even while on the road you supported however you could. Baby, you were very loving, caring and giving in so many ways..."Happy Father's Day!" Baby, yesterday marked one month since God called you home and it still seems like I'm dreaming. It's been very difficult for me to deal with, I miss you being home with me so very much. Those little things like your smile, laughter, conversations, phone calls, you making me coffee while I get dressed for work, going to the movies, dinner, church, sitting in your truck (#102) just hanging out, watching you doing your push ups, you sitting at the dining room table doing your truck logs or just relaxing watching your NBA games, you enjoying the meals I cooked for you then you giving me that sexy look smiling saying..."Yes, baby, you are definitely marriage material" and the list goes on and on. We were building a great life together as future husband and wife. You were an amazing companion in every way, friend, and provider. YOU WERE MY MAN...I miss and love you so much!!! As the world continues to mourn the loss of Prince, the media has shared many memories, highlights of this legendary musician. More ironically, to learn you both had many things in common like your captivating demeanor, exceptional good looks/sex appeal that captured every woman's attention when you walked in a room or went anywhere for that matter(it was like you were a celebrity when we walked in church or visited my friends who still boldly express how extremely good looking you were, a great conversationalist, intelligent and, yes, that smile...WOW!). Once again my love, I AM SO VERY GRATEFUL TO GOD for bringing you into my life where we created all these loving and memorable moments until he called you home. PURPLE RAIN
Today, the world mourns the loss of Prince, a legendary musician and performer...PURPLE RAIN.
You too were a legend in my life, your children and family lives. In biblical references, the color purple symbolizes or correlates with "Royalty or a King". To me this also represents the "uncommon". Your were my king, your uncommon smile, spiritual and earthly love for God and others whom you always ended your conversation in "I Love You". We often said how short life was and what a gift it was that God allowed us to live just another day. Yes, baby, you were definitely uncommon and God gave you a gift as a Truck Driver allowing you to drive places most have never gone; drive through mountains most have never seen; you were an artist, you had an amazing voice, loved music(jazz was your favorite), you dressed with an amazing style...you were a king. We both were so excited on my first road experience with you to Miami and you made sure I would never forget that road trip (we had an awesome time) and you would look over at me and say "Baby, trucking...that's what I do". It was never a need for a glorified speech or show to prove anything because you were a true performer just being Sandy. I'm so grateful to God for giving me so many great memories of our love and our rainbow shined on this earth and will again as Luther said in another of our favorite songs, "On The Other Side of The World." (RIP My King/My Soul-Mate, My Love, The one you chose to become your future wife, Laurie Harrell).

Baby, today was the day we laid you in your final resting place. I still can't believe you're no longer here with me..God knows I need his strength to see me through. I still hear you and feel your presence in our home, every where I look/go I feel you there. I know I can't question God but you're gone too soon and it hurts so bad.
