Sarah Meadows Obituary

MEADOWS Sarah Alaina Meadows "Shea Shea", 33, of Jacksonville, FL passed away Wednesday, July 28th, 2010. Sarah was born December 14, 1976 in Gainesville, FL and was a life long resident of Jacksonville. She is survived by her parents Pamela and Robert Meadows; 3 sisters Heather, Misty and Jessica, daughter Kayla, niece Symone, nephews Asher and Liam among many other loving family members and friends. Sarah attended Ed White High School and was a graduate of the class of '95. Sarah was an avid reader. Her lifelong dream was to become a published writer. She also enjoyed playing board games with the family, jamming out to her favorite music while dancing, talking on the phone for hours, going to the movies as often as possible and most of all spending all of her days off at the beach working on her fabulous tan. She will always be remembered for her amazingly majestic smile, uncanny wit, undeniable charm, overwhelming beauty, and most of all her heart of gold. She is already missed so deeply but we can take comfort in knowing that she will always be right beside us, even now. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. tomorrow, Monday, August 2, 2010 in the chapel of ETERNITY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 4856 Oakdale Ave. 904-348-5579. I am so sorry for the loss of Sarah. I knew her and her sisters, Heather and Misty, when they attended Normandy United Methodist Child Care Center. They were all beautiful and loving children that touched my heart. May God comfort you during this difficult time of grief.

Sarah was one of my favorite journalism students at Ed White. She had a passion for life and for writing. I never heard her utter an unkind word. She lit up a room and was a joy to be around every day. Our great loss is heaven's gain. I will keep her in my heart. My condolences to her family.

Women and elephants never forget.
- Dorothy Parker

When we lose someone we love, it seems like time stands still. What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-by, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget including that beautiful smile that you always had on your face no matter what was going on a the time.

Sarah, you will be forever missed!

heather and family
To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say... but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay. I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above. Here, there are no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love. Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight. Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night. That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through. God picked me up and hugged me and said, "I welcome you." It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone. As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on. I need you here badly; you're part of my plan. There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man. God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do. And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you. And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to fight. God and I are closest to you...in the middle of the night. When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears. But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain. Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain. I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned. But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand. But one thing is certain, though my life on earth is over. I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before. There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb; but together we can do it by taking one day at a time. It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too....that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you. If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain, then you can say to God at night..."My day was not in vain." And now I am contented...that my life has been worthwhile, kknowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody SMILE.
