Shepherd Jefferson Obituary

Funeral service for Mr. Shepherd L. Jefferson will held Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 1:000PM in the Hobson Auditorium of First Baptist Church-Downtown, where he held membership, Dr. Mac Brunson, pastor, Rev. Steve McCollum, officiating. He leaves memories to be cherished by his loving wife of 34 years, Elouise Jefferson; children, Lloyd (Brenda), Gary (Yvette), Cynthia (Mervin), Ronald (Micki), Donald (Nita), Doug (Sheila), Kathy, Jennifer (Nathan), Minnie; step children, Michael, Marie, Carla, Lena, Brenda, Gill (Aimee), & Sheila; devoted sister, MaryAlice, and a host of other relatives and many friends. Mr. Jefferson will rest in his church for the visitation of friends on Saturday, April 2, from 12 until the hour of service. Interment will be in Restlawn Cemetery. Professional services provided by HOLMES-GLOVER-SOLOMON FUNERAL DIRECTORS, INC., 4334 Brentwood Avenue. JEFFERSON

"Weezy" We are so sorry to learn that "Shep" died.Susan and I enjoyed our years serving together with you and him in the two year old pre -school Sunday school class those couple of years at First Baptist. As I reflect upon my relationship with Shep the first thought that comes to my mind is "Respect". Shep earned the love and respect from all that knew him. May God bless you in these coming days and give you peace and loving memories.Take care and carry on.
