Joann,
I just learned of Steve's passing and I was shocked to say the least. I will always remember working with him in the early days of my mortgage career at Unified Mtg. The Fl/Ga games we attended together, the fun times we shared and the memories I will cherish forever. He truly was one of the funniest people that I ever met and I loved him very much. Please know that you and Sam are in my thoughts and prayers.

To the Kane Family & Extended Family,
We are saddened and with heavy hearts upon learning of Steve's death. We always knew of his love for you, JoAnn and Sam. He was always beaming when he spoke of you- which was in every conversation that I can remember.
He was a caring, considerate, gracious, compassionate and a genuine friend to both of us. We are praying and will keep you in our prayers during the days ahead. We pray for God's grace to be abundant for your every need, His promises to be your assurances and comfort, and for Him to meet your every need.
We know that God makes no mistakes, and I know that one day you will all be reunited in heaven.
Sam, always know you were loved so much by your Dad. You and your Mom were the most important part of your dad's life. He was so proud of both of you and loved you so much.

I am sorry to hear of your loss and pray for the Lord to get you through this time. I went to St. Paul's from K-6th grade and Steven was in my classes over the years. Berta,
Hearing of your brother's passing saddened me in so many ways. I personally have suffered the loss of my brother, Michael, who you knew well. I know the depth of loss and pain your entire family is feeling. It also reminds me of all the wonderful times we shared together as little kids in your home full of so many Kanes:) What a fabulous family you have. My thoughts are with all of you. I hope our brothers are somewhere together sharing funny stories about their crazy younger sisters. With love, Amy

Joann, I only met you at a couple of high school reunions, but thought Steven was a very lucky man and looked so happy and contented. I've loved passing your house over the years and watching Sam's basketball hoop go from the Little Tikes type to the real deal. God knows, Steven loved his basketball.
Mr. and Mrs. Kane, and Kane family, I met quiet, shy Steve straight out of St. Paul's, in my 9th grade Biology class. From the moment he cut up his earthworm and threw the pieces in my hair, I had a great friend who (along with the Kane kids) saw me through my parents' divorce and the move from my long-time home to my new one on 3rd Street in Atlantic Beach. How lucky I was to find such a wonderful family.
Mrs. Kane, Wally said he saw you on the beach Sunday morning when he was fishing. I can't wrap my mind around how differently Sunday morning was for you compared to how the day ended.
We both are so sorry for all of y'all's loss. If there is ever anything I can do for any of you --Joann, I know you don't know me well, but I'm right around the corner on 7th Street --do not hesitate to ask.
Sincerely,
Ellen and Wally Fay
