Ruth Lynn, Sam and Families - Am heartsick we couldn't be with you on Wednesday; was hosting a luncheon for out of town company that very day. Your Darling Mother was so dear and sparkly. She always saw the sunny side of every situation, and lived with such joy which she shared with everyone within arm's reach. She and your Dad meant the world to my Parents [the Griffins] and me, too. Can picture those four peeling oranges for one of your Folks' Orange Parties --- together again.
Our love and prayers are with you. The Caraways

The Whitaker family,
I have so many wonderful memories of your Mother and my Mother having dinner at the Yacht Club or the Timuquana. I was always the willing chauffer for such fun dates. I will miss Mrs. Whitakers wit and humor and the "interesting" conversations the two of them had.
It is surely the end of an era with Mrs.Whitaker`s passing.
Sincerely,
Martin Easterday

Ruth Lynn,
I met your mom and her sweet family through Mrs. Davis. I attended Mrs. Whittaker's 99th and 100th birthday celebrations with Mrs. Davis. Such a very sweet lady! Your sweet family will be in my thoughts.

It's with fond memories of the whole family that I send my condolences for the loss of a fine and inspiring woman. Words are difficult, but a few that bring to mind Mrs. Whittaker are those of a Ruth Ann Mahaffey (author)

..And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,

Ms. Vi was such a sweet lady. I enjoyed our talks at the salon and she'd seemed to really enjoy being there and talking with everyone and always inviting everyone over for dinner, we often joked that one day she might really be surprised at the CROWD at her door.I KNOW she's with our Lord and probably sharing receipes
