WILLIAM GRINTER Obituary

GRINTER Please Sign the Guestbook @ Jacksonville.com William Haywood Grinter, 93, of St. Augustine, FL died at Community Hospice September 9, 2012 after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Marcia L. Grinter. Born in Elkton, KY, he had been a resident of St. Augustine for less than a year. Prior to that, he lived in Folkston, GA for over 20 years. He retired from the Florida Times Union newspaper in 1981 and was an Army veteran of World War II. Surviving are his daughter, Jeffry Ring of St. Augustine, FL; three sons, Barry Grinter of Cape Canaveral, FL, Mike Grinter of Jacksonville, FL, Tim Grinter of Cape Canaveral, FL; two grandchildren, Eric Grinter of Cocoa, FL, Amanda Grinter of Cape Canaveral, FL and three great-grandchildren. Remembrances may be sent to The American Cancer Society in loving memory of his beloved wife, Marcia Grinter.
