I did not know William, but I saw of this story through social media after the fact and it resonated with me a lot. Having lost a very close friend two years ago as a young person myself, I am so incredibly sorry for what everyone is going through. As a son, a grandson, a brother, a cousin, a friend, it affects so many of us in different yet connected and painful ways. If you read this, know that William touched another person today. I feel your grief as I feel my own, as it comes and goes in waves. You are all loved so much.

Will was my friend since third grade. I joined Scouts knowing no one there might even like me. As I kept going I got to know William better. He was a high energy, life loving, and above all Friendly person. He is one of the only people that could match my energy. As we got older he stopped coming to scouts one day. He came back maybe once or twice to say hi to me another of our friends. That was the last time I saw him. I miss him very much, he was a good friend and a better person. Will.I.Am I'll see you on the other side.
