EARL L. MANNING

1940 - 2021

Earl L. Manning, 81, of Westfield, passed away at his home on Sunday, Oct. 17, 2021. Born April 16, 1940 in Blossburg, he was the son of the late Richard and Ruth (Ferris) Manning.
Earl was a grader operator for PennDOT until he retired in 1995, and then worked for Chatham Township for 26 years as their grader operator.
He was a member of the Wellsboro Moose Lodge, Knoxville VFW, AmVets in Florida, Arnot Sportsman Club, CV Angler Club and a former member of the Masonic Lodge.
Earl enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, touring around and loved to winter in Hobe Sound, Fla.
He is survived by his special best friend, Mary Peterson; his children, Shelly and Lyle Wattles of Westfield, Scott and Michelle Manning of Lake Monticello, Va., Nichola and JoJo Dameron of Lake Monticello, Va., Barb and Lynn Wattles and their seven children of Westfield, Roger and Penny Moore and their three children of Westfield, Robin and Kelvin Flynn and their daughter of Westfield and many other foster children; grandchildren, Kerstin and Chris Rohrer, Emily and Ryan Rounds, Zak and Ashley Wattles, Jamy and Josh Musselman, Alexa Maynard, Abby Ryan, Amanda and Malcolm McCord, Bryce Martinson and Caylor and Cash Manning; great-grandchildren, Charli, Addi, Isla, Remi, Scarlette, Ry, Lopey, Jules, Logan, Finley, Gavin and Quest; a sister, Arletta Owlett of Middlebury Center and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane and second wife, Mernie; a sister, Joyce Manning and grandson, Seth Wattles.
A Celebration of Earl's Life will be held at the Wellsboro Moose Lodge, 36 Old Tioga St., Wellsboro on Saturday, Oct. 23 at 1 p.m. Memorial donations may be made in Earl's honor to the Wellsboro Moose Lodge, 36 Old Tioga St., Wellsboro, PA 16901 to help with their youth programs.
