GORDON GLEASON Obituary

Gordon E. Gleason, 89 of Osceola passed away at his home on Tuesday, October 26, 2021. Born Feb. 2, 1932 in Osceola, he was the son of the late Raymond and Huldah (Ludlam) Gleason.
Gordon served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and retired from Corning, Inc. He was a member of the Knoxville VFW, American Legion and a life member of the Osceola Fire Department.
Gordon enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, mowing his lawn and taking walks and he liked to play cards. He loved going to the Woodhull Races and rarely missed a race.
He is survived by his children, Larry and Helen Gleason, Chuck Gleason and Robin and Rick Moore all of Osceola; grandchildren, Joshua and Storm Moore, Joe and Leah Moore and Amanda Gleason; three great-grandchildren, Airianna, Emmett and Maverick; his companion, Deanna Young; Ziggy, his dog and two favorite nieces, Penny Bloom and Terry Zelko.
Gordon was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne M. Gleason; brother, Jim Gleason and sister, Barbara Bloom.
A graveside service with military honors will be held on Saturday, Oct. 30 at 1 p.m. at the Fairview Cemetery, Osceola with Lt. Col. Alan R. Goodrich officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the Osceola Fire Department or to the Knoxville VFW. Arrangements are in care of Kenyon Funeral Home.
