JEAN MURPHY Obituary
She was born Feb. 23 1927, in Fall River, Mass. and moved to Wellsboro in 1962 with Richard Murphy, DVM.
Jean was a retired USPS postal employee and loved spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Paul Daniel Murphy (Lesley); her daughters, Gail A Sands (Stephen), Mary R. Hoffman (John), Nancy L. Brooks; 10 grandchildren, Daniel Brooks, Stephanie Cooke, R. Sean Cooke, Alex Hoffman, Benjamin Hoffman, Elizabeth Sands Wise, Stephen Sands II, Clara Murphy, Rachel Ellis, and David Murphy; and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be held at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, a "Life Celebration Home," 139 Main Street, Wellsboro, at 2 p.m. on Saturday Jan. 1, 2011, with calling hours from 1 to 2 p.m.

I didn't know Jean that well, but I always remember her wonderful sense of humor and her friendliness. We would chat when we saw each other and I always thought she was a fun and delightful woman. i hope your memories will always make her a presence in your lives.

Jean was a great friend ,and a wonderfull person to every-one she knew .we always had a great time at mom's house on saturday evenings after bowling, visiting and having snacks ,she was quite the clown and we all enjoyed her very much. may god be with you at this difficult time in you'r lives
