LEROY BOYD Obituary
He was born on July 6, 1927, to his late parents, Frederick William Boyd and Ethel (Boyd) Boyd. He was the husband of the late Ethel L. (Oberholtzer) Boyd.
He was born in Cumberland, R.I. He served in the United States Navy during World War II as Fireman First Class from Feb. 22, 1945 to July 28, 1946. He worked as a machinist and surveying instrument maker at Warren-Knight Instrument Company from 1946 to 1986. In 1986, he founded Boyd Instrument and Supply Company where he was self-employed until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by parents, Frederick William Boyd and Ethel (Boyd) Boyd; wife, Ethel L. (Oberholtzer) Boyd; brothers, Milton Earle Boyd, Frederick William Boyd, Jr., Howard Leroy Boyd, Robert McIntyre Boyd, Kenneth Everet Boyd, Norman Boyd; sisters, Dorothy Evelyn Boyd, Mildred Ethel Boyd, Ruth Boyd. Leroy Boyd is survived by sons, Roy Allan (Patricia) Boyd, Robert Keith (Dawn) Boyd, John David (Rosemary) Boyd; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
There will be a private family memorial service in Westfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children (www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org). Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., Wellsboro is assisting the family with the arrangements. www.carletonfh.com

Verla and I are so sorry to hear of the death of LeRoy. He was a devoted father and husband to his family with a deep love for them and his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is now with his beloved wife Ethel for all eternity. May God comfort you in your loss and may He give you the peace that passes all understanding.
