SHELDON J. ROUPP

1949 - 2025

Sheldon J. Roupp, 76, of Liberty, passed away Friday, November 21, 2025, at his home. He was born June 6, 1949, in Blossburg, the son of the late Ernest C. and Ann Louise (Bowers) Roupp. He married the former Ellen Monson on August 28, 1971.
Sheldon graduated from Liberty High School, Class of 1968, was a Navy veteran, serving during the Vietnam war on the USS Kitty Hawk. He was a drag line operator for Jones & Bragg Mining Co, Tioga, and worked for Ward Manufacturing, Blossburg.
Sheldon was a member of the Bass Club of Tioga, and the Corey Creek Golf Club, Mansfield. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, wintering in Florida, and spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren who he adored.
In addition to his wife, Ellen, Sheldon is survived by a daughter: Mya M. (Jason) Sawyer, of Liberty; sons: Sheldon J. (Jennifer) Roupp Jr. of Weeki Wachee, Fla.; Daniel J. (Leah) Roupp of Liberty; siblings: Patricia (Raymond) Lepley of Liberty; Cheryl (David) Ragan of Ogdensburg; Ernest Roupp Jr. of New York; Brenda (Jeff) Saul of Florida; Gail (Shawn) Breezee of Blossburg; Frederick Roupp of Liberty; 15 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Evelyn (Heckman) Monson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Ernest C. Roupp III, and a brother-in-law, John A Monson.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects, Saturday, November 29, from 1 - 2 p.m. at Nauvoo Christian Fellowship, 46 Linck Rd, Morris, with a funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Salem-St. Paul Cemetery, Liberty. The family suggest memorial contributions in Sheldon's name be made to the National Rifle Association, www.nra.org.
