VENITA PARKER Obituary

Venita Parker, 91, of Wellsboro, passed away on Monday evening, Dec. 4, 2017 in her home at the Country Terraces.
She was born June 16, 1926 in Tioga Township, a daughter of Luther and Leila Benson.
Venita was the wife of the late LLewlyn "Pete" Parker. She was employed by the Federal Government, ASCS in Wellsboro, for 40 years. Venita was known for her quilts that she lovingly hand made for so many family and friends. She was a gentle and kind woman loved by so many.
Venita is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dana and Brenda Husted; granddaughter and husband, Bobbie Jo and Jason Philpot; great-granddaughter, Skyler Elyse Philpot; her dear sister, Donna Doughty; several nieces and nephews; as well as by stepdaughters, Sherry High and Caroline Weaver, seven step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by brother-in-law, Roswell Doughty and stepdaughter, Janet Ostrom.
A memorial service will be held on Jan. 13 at 11:30 a.m. with a light meal to follow at Roseville United Methodist Church with Pastor Timothy Parker officiating. Venita will be laid to rest beside her beloved parents in the Roseville Cemetery. A service of Gary Wilston Funeral Home, Mansfield.
