Adam Green Obituary

Adam R. Green Jr., 74, of 1626 Lower Nis Hollow Road, Mahoning Township, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 25, in the St. Luke Hospital, Fountain Hill. He was the companion of Linda Wallander.
An innovator and repairman, he was employed by Hunsicker's Harley Davidson, Aquashicola, and later worked for Blocker Enterprises as a Harley mechanic. Prior to retiring, he was employed by Techna-Plastics, Lehighton.
Born in Andreas, he was a son of the late Adam R. and Lulu (McFarland) Green.
He was an Army veteran.
Green was of the Christian faith.
Until recently, he was a member of the East Penn Sporting Club.
Surviving are a son, Joseph O., and his companion, Antoinette Helfrich, of Palmerton; three daughters, Ruth, wife of Richard Anthony, and Sarah, wife of Richard Salter, both of Palmerton, and Joanne, whereabouts unknown; three sisters, Betty Jones, Edna, wife of Bernie Dunlap of Lehighton, and Dorothy Zuber of Albrightsville; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He was also predeceased by three sisters, Ida Steigerwalt, Edith Bittner and Violet Steigerwalt; and two brothers, Thomas and Paul Green.
Service: Private funeral service and interment at convenience of family. Arrangements by Andrew P. Ovsak Funeral Home, Fourth and Iron streets, Lehighton. Contributions in his name may be made to a charity of choice. Online condolences can be offered at www.ovsakfh.com.
