Barbara J. Helman
Barbara J. Helman, 81, of Tamaqua, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 19, 2022, at the home of her daughter Judy while surrounded by her family.
Born Saturday, March 2, 1940, in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Clifford and Dorothy (Kohler) German. Barbara was also predeceased by her husband, John Helman.
Surviving are daughters, Cheryl Sallada, and her husband Ron, Judy Deily, and her husband Bill, with whom she resided; sons, William Hamersly, Robert Hamersly, Dennis Miller, John Helman Jr., and his wife Belinda, Ronald Helman, and his wife Paulette; brother, Terry German, and his wife Colleen; sister, Marjorie Adams; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
Affiliated with Bethany E.C.C. of Tamaqua, Barbara tended bar at the Red Barn in Allentown for over 25 years. She was an ardent crafter and liked to golf.
Service: A Celebration of Life honoring Barbara will be held on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2022, at 10 a.m. in Bethany E.C.C., 223 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, with the Rev. Kevin Roberts to officiate. Friends may visit from 9 a.m. until time of remembrance. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Allentown.
Memorials in her name in care of the church.
