Barbara F. Richards

Barbara F. Richards, 81, of Hauto Estates, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 15, 2025, in MapleShade Meadows, Nesquehoning, surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Thomas W. Richards, who passed away on May 15, 2021.

Born in New York, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Paytas) Gregor.

She was a 1961 graduate of Hazleton High School.

Barbara worked in dietary service at the former Hamburg State Hospital.

She was a member of Ben Salem United Church of Christ, Andreas. Barbara was a avid New York Mets fan, having followed them since the team was founded in 1962. Barbara most of all loved her family and taking care of them, always putting them as her number one priority.

Surviving are her daughters, Lenore, wife of Bryan Brazier of Alburtis, and Nadine, wife of Terry Blair of Lehighton; grandchildren, Natalie Blair and Tommy Blair, both of Lehighton, and Kelly, wife of Alex Hubickey of Macungie; a great-grandson, Brayden Hubickey; a brother, Peter Gregor, and his wife, Charlotte, of Hazleton; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Lenny Lutz; a sister, Dorothy Bowen; a nephew, Peter; and a niece, Charlene.

Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. Friday, June 20, Parambo Funeral Home, 54 W. Fell St., Summit Hill, with the Rev. Randy Lentz officiating. Interment, Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown.
