Mrs. Christine Musante

Mrs. Christine (Baker) Musante, 81, of New Ringgold, died on May 25, 2025. She was the wife of John L. Musante.

Born on May 20, 1944, in Glen Ridge, N.J., she was a daughter of the late Albert and Lillian (Kent) Baker.

She graduated from Horseheads (NY) High School in 1962. Shortly after graduation, she enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. During her two years in the USAF, she served in Texas and Nebraska. While in Nebraska, she met and married her husband of 61 years, John L. Musante.

In 1974, Chris graduated from UMass Amherst with a degree in accounting. Over the next 30 years, she worked for Chess King in Worcester, MA, Fitchburg Ford, Fitchburg, MA, Wyman Gordon, Worcester, and as town treasurer for Hubbardston, MA.

Chris enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles, variety puzzles, gardening and travel. Over her lifetime, she visited 40 of the 50 U.S. states, Mexico, Bermuda, several Caribbean Islands, eastern Canada, Egypt, all of the British Isles, and countries along the Rhine and Danube rivers in Europe. In the U.S., she was extremely fond of Key West, FL.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a son John of New Ringgold; her sister Gail, wife of Carl Diener Binghamton, N.Y., along with two daughters, Jennifer, wife of Scott Giordano of Fitchburg, and Gina Musante of Lehighton; grandson, Noah Giordano, and granddaughter, Natalia Giordano, both of Fitchburg; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her stepmother, Mary Baker; and her son-in-law, Dan Laughlin.

Service: There will be no calling hours. After cremation, burial will be private. Arrangements are being handled by the Andrew P. Ovsak Funeral Home, Lehighton.
