Daniel Engler Obituary
Daniel R. Engler, 72, of Kunkletown, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 26, in his home. He was the beloved husband of Joy A. "Dolly" (Audenried) Engler, with whom he shared almost 43 years of marriage.
A member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 542, he was a heavy equipment operator for more than 30 years before retiring.
Born in Stockertown on Nov. 4, 1943, he was a son of the late Marlin C. and Mildred (Karch) Engler.
A 1961 graduate of Nazareth High School, he attended Catawba College, Salisbury, N,C., and served in the U.S. Navy.
He was a member of St. Matthew's United Church of Christ, Kunkletown.
The deceased enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving in addition to his widow are two sons, Kevin D. and Joshua M., both at home; two brothers, Ralph M., and his wife, Mary Beth, of Phoenix, AZ, and Sheldon A., and his wife, Carol, of Northampton; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was also predeceased by a nephew, Douglas Engler.
Service: Memorial service in celebration of his life noon Sunday, July 24, St. Matthew's United Church of Christ, 102 Church Rd., Kunkletown. Interment, St. Matthew's United Church of Christ Memorial Garden. No calling hours. Arrangements by George G. Bensing Funeral Home, Village of Moorestown - Bath. Contributions in his name may be made to the church, 18058.
