David Bradley Obituary

David A. Bradley

David A. Bradley, 78, of Macungie, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025.

Born on March 28, 1947 in Philadelphia to Edward Raymond Bradley and Eleanore Harriet (Bates) Bradley, David's life was shaped by service, passion and deep connections with those around him.

A graduate of Northeast High School, he continued his education at Philadelphia Community College before serving in the U.S. Navy from 1967 to 1972-a time that instilled in him a profound sense of duty and dedication. In the early 1980s, David met the love of his life, Donna Miller-Bradley, through MatchMaker International. Together, they built a thriving business, expanding MatchMaker into 14 offices across four states. Their partnership was one of shared ambition, commitment and deep love that lasted a lifetime.

David was a lifelong Philadelphia sports fan, never missing a chance to cheer on the Eagles and Phillies with passion. He also served as chaplain of American Legion Post 191, where he took pride in supporting fellow veterans.

A member of St. Anne's Episcopal Church in Trexlertown, David's faith and fellowship were integral to his life. His love for American history made him an enthusiastic and knowledgeable conversationalist. Whether at music festivals, car shows or gatherings with family and friends, David came alive in conversations about the past, always eager to share and to learn. At home, he found great joy in caring for his cat, Dima, who was his constant companion. David's presence brought warmth, camaraderie, and wisdom to those who knew him. His life was rich with love, laughter and connection, and his legacy will live on through the family and friends who cherished him.

David is survived by his loving daughter, Alycia Bradley and son-in-law, Vitaliy Dmytrenko, of Center Valley; his sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Saul Machles of Drexel Hill; and many friends whose lives he touched with warmth and kindness.

He was preceded by his beloved wife Donna; and his siblings, Ruth Bradley, Raymond Bradley and Paul Bradley.

Service: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 16 at St. Joseph Parish of the Panther Valley, 462 W. Ludlow St., Summit Hill with the Rev. Robert George officiating. Military Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, White Bear, Summit Hill. Calling hours are from 9:30-11a.m. Monday at the church. Funeral arrangements have been placed in the care of the Parambo Funeral Home, Summit Hill. Online condolences may be shared at www.parambofh.com.
