He was employed as a collision auto body technician. David was predeceased by a grandson, Brandon Blasko; a brother, Donald Scheitrum; and a nephew, Brian Scheitrum. David worked most of his career at Rothrock Motors in Allentown before working for his friend at Folweiler's Auto Body in Coaldale until he retired. He had many hobbies which included building, working on, and racing radio control cars, radio control planes, and drones. He previously owned his own R/C car racetrack in Tamaqua. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR and all forms of motor racing. In addition to his job, he worked on restoring vehicles and entered them in car shows. His skillful craft was one of his passions where he would build many personal projects which included woodworking, 3D printed objects, and vinyl work. He had an appreciation and love for animals, and always enjoyed watching the families' pets when they traveled. David would often garden and enjoyed sitting on his back deck drinking a cup of tea. He was a great neighbor and friend to all who knew him. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with family. David was a great man who prospered in his role of being a father and grandfather. He is loved and will be greatly missed by his friends, family, and those who had the benefit of being in his presence. Services are private at the convenience of the family.
