Debra Knauss Obituary
Debra Ann Knauss, 53, of Coaldale, and formerly of Jim Thorpe, passed away Tuesday, March 19, at her home. She was the wife of Stephen R. Knauss. They had celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary on Feb. 27.
Born in Coaldale, she was the daughter of the late Elwood W. and Ann K. (Grover) Laugh-lin.
She was a 1982 graduate of Jim Thorpe Area High School.
She had worked in the construction business with area contractors. She was also employed as a caregiver with local home health care services.
She enjoyed the outdoors, music and she loved to cook.
Besides her husband Stephen, she is survived by a son, Michael L. McLaughlin and fiancee Brandy Bamford of Lansford; a daughter, Stephanie Knauss at home; and a brother Douglas E. Laughlin of AZ.
Service: There will be a viewing from 11 a.m. until noon Thursday, March 22, at the Melber Funeral Home, 524 Center St., Jim Thorpe. Interment will be private.

Please accept my deepest sympathy. Debra was a wonderful, loving person,and a great neighbor, wife and mother who was always willing to help anyone. Her love and kindness for the stray cats that she cared for was incredible.May the good Lord hold her in the palm of his hand.
