Dear Jim, Kelly, and Kasey,
I first met Debbie when I was a new student in 6th grade. She was one of the first to come up and introduce herself to me. Over the years her friendly smile and kind spirit followed her, and it was always a pleasant surprise to run into her. I am so sorry for your loss, but will pray that the Lord will shine his peace on your family at this very difficult time.

January 20, 2013

Dear Jim, Kelly, Kasey, Anna, Herbert, Donna, and Michael:
The Maritch family extends deepest condolences on the loss of your beloved Debbie. She was truly a kind, giving, and inspirational person...likeable from the first time we met when she was the opposing coach at a softball game over ten years ago. From there, we ran into each other often on the softball fields and basketball courts in and around Parkland. And I have to say, it was much more fun having you all behind our team during the times I was fortunate enough to coach Kasey. Over the years, we enjoyed getting to know what wonderful people you are...down to earth, passionate, and thoughtful. We are honored to call you friends.
Your thoughtfullness stood out when Debbie's days on earth were winding down. You contacted friends and invited us into your home to say goodbye. How kind it was for you think of others during such a difficult time. I will miss Debbie terribly, especially her warm smile and easygoing nature. When I think of her, I will remember how she always thought of her family and friends first. Shine on Debbie, the world needs more people like you.
With Love,
Marie, Ken, Megan, Erin, and Sean

Debbie was a vibrant woman who radiated warmth toward others. Her caring nature as wife and mother was evident in your home and stretched out into our neighborhood. She was the heartbeat of Guth's Station, always taking time to talk and connect neighbors to one another. I have many fond memories of Debbie , and each one includes that infectious smile. Jim ,Kelly and Kasey I am holding you in my thoughts, especially today, and beyond as you help one another.

My wife and I are so sorry to hear of Debbie's passing. I will always remember Debbie's competitive spirit and fire on the softball field when she played against us with EYA. And then coaching her briefly in women's ball. Not knowing of her illness, she fought the good fight, just as she did as a player. God Bless you and your family.

Debbie was one of the most inspiring individuals I ever had the pleasure of meeting. Her grace, quiet unassuming courage and grit, I will always remember and it inspired me. The Kocher family moved in across the street in 1989 two years after we did. It was a great place to live but it didn't become a neighborhood until they arrived. They hosted neighborhood picnics and organized neighborhood yard sales that streched from 309 to Cedar Crest Blvd. Neighbors like Jim and Deb are a God send and I'm sure glad he sent them to our neighborhood. May God guide Jim and the girls at this most difficult time.

January 18, 2013

Jim, Kelly and Kasey - Keeping all of you in our thoughts and prayers. Debbie was a great woman and we are glad to have met her on the softball field.

Deb's Family,
I too worked with Debbie at Laneco. in Dorneyville. Deb was one of the hardest working people I knew in the store, yet always made time for a little conversation. She always carried a big smile on her face regardless of how busy she might have been. Reading Debbie's obituary left me in a state of schock to see such a young and vibrant person I knew, leave us. I'll always remember the extra "employee touch" she gave all the seafood dinners she prepared for the employees. She was a wonderful person and will be missed by all. I didn't know of Deb's softball skills or contributions, but I could picture her out on the diamond having a blast teaching and coaching the kids. I offer my sincere condolances to Deb's family and may she rest in peace.
