Donald Lewis George

Donald Lewis George, 77, of Moore, OK, died Oct. 7, 2025 in his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born and raised in Palmerton, Donnie was the son of Bartine and Mim George, owners of George's Plumbing and Heating, Inc., a long-standing and thriving business still operating in the community.

Donnie graduated in 1966 from Palmerton High School, where he played football and baseball. Following high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. While in the service, Donnie spent time at the Pentagon, having been stationed at Fort Meyers, VA.

In 1968, Donnie was then deployed to Vietnam. Following one year in Vietnam, Donnie was honorably discharged, and he spent time working as an insurance agent for Prudential. After several years in insurance, he spent the rest of his working hours as the manager of several local Burger King and Golden Corral restaurants.

In addition, Donnie was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of Myrtle Lodge 145 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was a lifelong member of V.F.W. Post 8706 in Moore.

Survivors: Donnie is survived by his loving wife, Deborah J. (Brestovansky) of Oklahoma City. They were married for 55 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Melissa A. Tarman of Oklahoma City, and his son, Troy S. of Mustang, OK; four grandchildren, Alexis D. Kissinger (Tarman) of Colorado Springs, CO, Dustin B. Tarman of Oklahoma City and Dalton S. George and Camden L. George of Mustang; three great-granddaughters, Emalyn D. Tarman and Anastasia R. Tarman, both of Oklahoma City, and Teally L. Kissinger of Colorado Springs; and his sister-in-law, Frannie Carazo, and her husband, Frank, of Palmerton.

Services: Private. Donnie will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery at a future date.
