Doris Fronheiser Obituary
Doris M. Fronheiser, 90, of Weatherly and formerly of Lehighton, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Forest Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Weatherly.
She was the wife of the late Raymond Fronheiser.
Born on Aug. 26, 1933, in Mahoning Township, she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Hilda (Fritz) Gilbert.
She was a graduate of Lehighton Area High School.
Doris was an integral part of their family-owned business, Gilbert's Meats, in Mahoning Township for many years.
She was a member St. John's Lutheran Church, Mahoning Twp., where she served as a nursery and Sunday school teacher, sang on the church choir and was always willing to volunteer when needed.
Doris loved going to yard sales, gardening, bird watching and attending races in Middletown, NY.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna, wife of Bob Hall of Lehighton; granddaughter, Stacy, wife of Craig Rex Jr.; great-grandsons, Craig III and Hunter Rex, and brother, Neil Gilbert, husband of Kay of Lehighton.
She was predeceased by her sons, Howard "Homer" and Alan Fronheiser and brother, Dean Gilbert.
A "Celebration of Life" service will be held on Friday, May 10 at 11 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church 826 Mahoning Drive West Lehighton with Reverend Tony Pagotto officiating, calling from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
Committal will be held privately at a later date.

The family is requesting flowers for the "Celebration of Life" service.

To the family of Doris I was sad to see that she had passed away ..she was so nice and we would talk and Terry Hill who passed away on January 22 of this year knew her brother Neil ..she told us who she was and I was up there every day to Terry so I got to see her pretty much, a very nice lady.
