Dorothea E. "Dottie" Kreger, 92, of Kunkletown, passed away on Friday, Aug. 22, 2025, in the Getz Personal Care Home, Kunkletown. She was the loving wife of the late Mitchell W. Kreger, with whom she shared 69 years of marriage.

Born in Kresgeville, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Helen (Griffith) Haydt.

Dottie was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards and working on jigsaw puzzles.

She was on the Fellowship Committee at Jerusalem UCC and dedicated much of her time to the church. She was also a member of the Polk Township Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

Dottie will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.

Surviving are her daughters, Suzanne Kresge, and her partner, Mark, of Stroudsburg, and Melissa Daycock, and her husband, David, of Boise, ID; a sister-in-law, MerylAnn DePue, and her partner, John, of Kresgeville; four grandchildren, Karey, Ryan, Abigail and Isabelle; and three great-grandchildren, Matthew, Johnny and Noah.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, Lance Leslie Kreger and Dean David Kreger.

Service: Memorial service 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Rt. 209, Brodheadsville, with the Rev. Marian Johnson officiating. A burial of cremated remains will follow at Jerusalem Lutheran Cemetery, Trachsville. Visitation 10-11 a.m. Saturday.
