Elizabeth McFadden Obituary

Elizabeth A. "Betty" McFadden

Elizabeth A. "Betty" McFadden, 93, of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022 at her daughter Mary Beth's home in Barnesville. She was the wife of the late Martin McFadden Jr. who passed away April 1970. Born in Nesquehoning, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna (Pancoe) Sniscak.

She was employed as a sewing machine operator for many clothing factories throughout the area and then was a clerical worker for PennDOT until retiring.

She was a member of St. Joseph Parish of the Panther Valley, Summit Hill.

She was a graduate of Nesquehoning High School Class of 1947. She was also a member of the Golden Agers in Lansford and the Senior Center in Nesquehoning.

Betty's family was so grateful to have her for so many loving years.

Surviving are daughters, Mary Beth Agostinelli and her husband Michael of Barnesville and Ann Marie Denenberg and her husband Skip of Philadelphia; a son, Martin J McFadden III of Nesquehoning; a sister, Rose Walck and her husband Tony of Nesquehoning; granddaughters, Allison (Gabby) and Erin (Yaya) Denenberg; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Louise P. Mele and brothers, Joseph, John, and Michael Sniscak.

A funeral service will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Nesquehoning.

Donations will be accepted in her name to the Carbon County Friends of Animals, 77 W. 13th St. Jim Thorpe, PA 18229.

The Joseph S. Blazosky Funeral Home has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
