Dear Cindy & Family,
For all of his coaching years Gino encouraged our kids to be the "best" they could be, and encouraged all of us to be good sports. And so; we all had fun at his games, and celebrated our kids' "best" when we got home. Not all youth guides are so wise!
For many more years Gino sent us all home, from our downtown encounters, in the same high spirits. Not all life guides are so selfless!
An inspiration for how to live a "best" full & whole life, Gino will be missed by all who had the privilege to have known him!
Sincerely,
Dave & Ann Honzo

I was at the Funeral Home today. What a beautiful family! I don't think I am alone in thinking Geno was going to outlive us all. Sure, he faced challenges. But it seemed he never faced them alone, or, with nothing less than a positive outlook. I will never achieve a community resume even close to what this man has, but I am proud to have shared a moment with him a few years ago for a United Way Roast. RIP fellow Man of the Hour.

Our Condolences are sent to the entire Roberts family. We have many great memories of Geno. He coached my son Rick is baseball and was an amazing inspiration to Rick after being Critically injured in a car accident and had to learn how to walk again. He helped Ricky at Jimmy's gym to get his life back.We are Eternally grateful for his positive attitude . He called my son "Big Guy" after Ricky was able to gain his strength working out and lifting weights. He was a great inspiration to my son and words cannot express the LOSS we feel.
Cherish the great memories that you have with him. We will see you again Geno. You will always bring a smile to our face when your name is mentioned.
Love,Kathy&Rick (Ricky)Weiss Jr

Dear Cindy & Family,
My heart breaks for you at this time of great loss. My prayer for you is that, as time passes, the memory of the unconditional love of Eugene, and knowing what a special man he was, who had a positive impact on the lives of so many others, will begin to neutralize this great pain. Although there will always be a hole in your heart that can never be mended, you may feel comfort in knowing that you were truly loved by an amazing, selfless, devoted man.
I remember your wedding, and there were those who had doubts that such a young couple could survive. But, you were terrific together; and together you raised a beautiful, loving family. And there is no greater achievement on earth than that. And Cindy, you grew into a wonderful wife and mother, and an amazing, selfless caregiver. And, I am sure there were times Eugene did not make it easy to be his caregiver. He was strong, and had a personality that was bigger than life, and he taught us all how to live the Serenity Prayer.
"God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."
He handled circumstances, that most of us could not imagine, with grace, and courage, and dignity. He never lost hope or that exuberant sense of humor. He was a blessing in so many lives. I know he touched mine.
May God bless you all, and keep Eugene in eternal peace in heaven.
I can't help but imagine that Gene's mom, your mother, and my Mother welcomed him in Heaven with open arms, and that he has them all in stitches.
Love,
Your cousin, Linda
