Mrs. Jane G. Cervenak

Mrs. Jane G. Cervenak, 95, of Palmerton, passed away on June 14, 2024, at St. Luke's Brian D. Perin Hospice House, Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Louis P. Cervenak, who passed away on March 12, 2012.

Jane was born in Barre, Vermont, on Oct. 24, 1928, a daughter of the late Antonio Frigon and Amelda (Girard) Frigon.

She retired from Lucent Technologies Corporation in 1989. Previously, she worked as a seamstress in the garment industry.

Jane had a desire to style women's hair, so she became a beautician and had her own salon for several years before working at Lucent Technologies.

She enjoyed bowling, playing golf, playing cards with her friends, and doing plastic canvas with one of her best friends. Jane, "Memere," especially enjoyed every opportunity to care for her grandchildren.

She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Palmerton.

Surviving are a son, Charles Laviolette, and his wife, Gretchen; and three grandchildren, Ghyslyn T. Laviolette, Jason T. Laviolette and Gina M. Laviolette.

She was also predeceased by brothers, Dollard, Henry, Fernand, Rolland, Richard, Gerald, Maurice and Laurent; and sisters, Angel, Martha and Jannette. She was the last of the Antonio and Amelda Frigon Family.

Service: Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Thursday, June 20, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 243 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton. Interment, parish's old cemetery, Palmerton. Call from 10:30-11 a.m. Thursday in the church. Funeral arrangements are by Campton Funeral Home, Palmerton.
