Jasmine Fonseca Obituary
Jasmine Isabel Fonseca, 15, of Towamensing Trails, Penn Forest, Jim Thorpe, passed away Thursday, Aug. 20, due to injuries sustained in an auto accident on Route 903, Jim Thorpe.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of John Fonseca of Philadelphia and Carla (Dias) Fonseca, with whom she resided. She was a student at Jim Thorpe Area High School, where she was a member of the Jr. Varsity Cheerleading Squad. She was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church of Lake Harmony.She enjoyed running and loved to read and listen to music.
Besides her parents, she is survived by a step-father, Jason Eberly; a sister, Makayla at home; grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Service: There will be a Memorial Service at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 2111 Lake Dr., Lake Harmony, with the Msgr. John Chizmar officiating. There will be a calling period from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23, at Jim Thorpe Area Senior High School, 1 Olympian Way, Jim Thorpe.

My sincere condolences to you Carla & John. You both are always in my prayers. Jasmine was such a Blessing to have known. She was always at my home here in Philly, playing with my daughter Destin'ee, and they became best friends whenever Jazzy would come to Philly, her & Destinee would link up. They would go shopping, out to eat, or just chillin on the computer listening to RiRi (UMBRELLA SONG LOL.) We miss Jasmine so much. We love you Jasmine. Continue to RIH our ANGEL.

To Jasmine's Family. My deepest condolences and prayers are with you at this terrible time. I was Jasmine's lunch lady in Penn Kidder and remember when she started there. She was so shy and just looked up at me with those beautiful eyes. She was a pleasant and respectful young lady. You raised a beautiful person. I did not know your daughter except as a student that attended the same high school as my daughter. However, my heart aches for you at this time. The ending of the life of one so young just breaks my heart, as I have had family members whose life ended much too early. I will just say my thoughts and prayers are with you.
