Jesse W. Dunstan


Jesse W. Dunstan, 53, of Hometown, died Saturday in St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Diane (Sweeney) Dunstan. They were married 34 years.

Jesse grew up in Tamaqua and was the son of the late George and Lottie (Martin) Dunstan.

He was a 1972 graduate of Tamaqua High School.

He was a truck driver, first driving seven years for the former Atlas Powder Company; he later drove for Fegley Oil Company of Tamaqua and then Mobil Oil Corp., Exxon/Mobil Corp. for 18 years from 1985-2003. He worked for Petroleum Products Corp. for two years and for the past three years he was driving for Lily Transportation of Fogelsville.

In 1990, he received his perfect one million miles driving award from Mobil Corp. and the American Trucking Association. He currently had over two million miles of safe, accident free driving.

Surviving in addition to his wife is his daughter, Dolicia Dunstan, and a grandson, Bradley Dunstan, of Hazleton.

The Lamar Christ Funeral Home, Hometown, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
