Dear Kathy and family, and Joel Jr. and family- may your memories always be those of joy. Joel and I met in grade school at Pine Street School. We became friends and ran into one another here and there, now and then, over the years- and always a hug. Our last hug- at the class reunion a few months ago. RIP- old friend.

I had the privilege many years ago of running calls with Joel as an EMT with the Tamaqua Ambulance. He was a great mentor that I learned so much from during that time. He made an impact on me that I will never forget.
Tamaqua has lost a great man
My sincere condolences to his family.

My condolences to Kathy and family. First met Joel in the 4th-5th grade in Pine Street School, from that time on he has always greeted me with great bear hug no matter how much time has passed in between. I will miss those greetings, I will miss him. Heaven definitely got another good one! May your faith comfort you in this time of heartbreak and loss... until we all meet again

Sometimes people come into our lives to show us the potential we have to make lives better. Joel you were that man. You not only helped myself but so many others with supporting us, guiding us and just being the great man you were. Your presents in our lives will be greatly missed. You truly made our lives better and helped many of us learn our own potentials. RIP until we meet again!!
