Joseph M. Marcin Joseph M. Marcin, 82, of East Broad Street, Tamaqua, died Wednesday, June 24, in his home. He was the husband of Ann M. (Engleman) Marcin. They were married for 51 years.He worked for the former Atlas Powder Company in its Blasting Division for 42 years before retiring in 1989.Born in Tamaqua, he was a son of the late Michael A. and Bernetta (Stahler) Marcin.He was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, the South Ward Fire Company and the Amercian Legion Post, all of Tamaqua.A 1944 graduate of the former St. Jerome High School, Tamaqua, he was an Army veteran of World War II, having fought in the Battle of the Bulge.Surviving in addition to his widow are a son, Joseph M., and his wife, Amy, of Tamaqua; two daughters, JoAnn of Milford, Del., and Bernetta, wife of Steven VanGorden of Lancaster; a brother John, and his wife, Frances, of Tamaqua; four sisters, Mary Garrison of Hershey and Mildred Harahus, Grace Faust and Dolores, wife of Lewis Erbe, all of Tamaqua; and five grandchildren, Brieanna, Caitlin, Allison, Joseph and Zachary. Service: Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Monday, June 29, St. Jerome Catholic Church, Tamaqua. Interment, parish cemetery, Tamaqua. Call 6-8 p.m. Sunday and 8:45-9:30 a.m. Monday. Mass cards and contributions in his name may be made to the church, 264 W. Broad St., Tamaqua, Pa. 18252; the American Legion Post, W. Broad St., Tamaqua, Pa. 18252; or to Kellner's Dam Project, P.O.
