Keith Derhammer Obituary

Keith E. Derhammer
Keith E. Derhammer, 63, of Lehighton, following a courageous, three-year battle with cancer, passed away peacefully while at home and surrounded by loving family on Wednesday, April 21, 2021.
He was the husband of Theresa D. "Tessie" (Little) Derhammer. The couple would have celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary on June 30.
Born in Fountain Hill, he was a son of Miriam (Miltenberger) Burbes of Moore Township, and the late Ralph J. W. Derham-
mer.
Keith was a graduate of Northampton High School, Class of 1975.
Recently he was employed by Blue Ridge Pressure Casting in Lehighton, where he was a CNC machine operator for several years.
Prior to that Keith was a machine operator for more than 20 years at the former Tyler Pipe Co. in Macungie.
An avid bowler, Keith bowled in various leagues for many years and he enjoyed fishing and outdoors, including cutting trees for firewood.
Survivors: In addition to his wife, Tessie; and his mother, Miriam; he will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his children, Christopher Derhammer, and wife, Jerilyn, of Marion, South Carolina, Gary Salasky, and Danielle Salasky, and her wife, Miranda, both of Lehighton; a grandson, Trent Derhammer of Marion, South Carolina; brothers, Wayne Derhammer, and wife Sue, of Danielsville, and Terry Derhammer, and wife, Debra, of Palmerton; sisters, Charlene Mast of Moore Township, and Linda Whitehouse, and husband Richard, of Elgin, South Carolina; nieces and nephews.
Keith was preceded in death by his former wife, Lavaughn (Lick) Derhammer.
Services: A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 25, 2021, at 6 p.m. in the George G. Bensing Funeral Home, 2165 Community Drive, Route 946, in the Village of Moorestown - Bath. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. COVID-19 restrictions apply. Keith's interment will be private.
Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to the Pancreatic Cancer Hope Foundation, P.O. Box 3513, Wescosville, PA 18016.

Keith's sense of humor will be greatly missed. Sincere condolences to you and your family in this loss. May your memories keep you smiling during this difficult time. Loved being around him at the Derhammer family gatherings; specially during our bean bag winning streak, and card playing nights. He always made me feel welcomed.
