Leon Haak Obituary

Leon H. Haak

Leon H. Haak, 89, of Palmerton, died Wednesday, July 23 in St. Luke's Hospital, Allentown campus. He was the husband of Doris (Borger) Haak. They were married 55 years last November.

Lee worked as a welder for Bethlehem Steel for many years until retiring. He was also a longtime partner in Pastier Electric with stepson Tony.

He served honorably in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam era.

Lee was a member of American Legion Post 314, Lehighton, and a social member of several local fire companies. He also enjoyed races at Big Diamond Speedway.

Born in Mauch Chunk, he was a son of the late Henry and Cecelia (Conroy) Haak.

Survivors: Stepsons Cary Pastier and wife Debra, Anthony Pastier and wife Pam, Joseph Pastier and wife Roni; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services: Private, at the convenience of family. Arrangements, T.K. Thomas Funeral Home, Palmerton.

Contributions: Animal charity of one's choice.
