Mary Beblavy Obituary

Mrs. Mary S. Beblavy
Mrs. Mary S. Beblavy, 98, of Mahoning Valley, died Friday, July 29, surrounded by family. She was the widow of Evan "Jaker" Beblavy, who died in 1997. They were married for 50 years.
She worked in various garment factories for 42 years and loved to sew.
She loved to garden, plant flowers and was well known for her apple pies and kiffles.
Born in Palmer-ton, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Katie (Bojack) Yondura.
She attended Palmerton schools. She was a member of St. John Slovak Lutheran Church in Lansford.
A loving and devoted mom, grammy, great grammy and great-great grammy, she is survived by two sons, Joseph and Sandra Beblavy, of Allentown, and Evan and Eileen Beblavy, of Mahoning Valley; four grandchildren, Michael Beblavy, Cheri Pagliaro, Mary Powers and Melissa Vermillion, 12 great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren and one great-great grandson on the way.
Mary was a twin and one of seven children and is survived by a sister, Frances Reiner.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Margaret Witychak, Sophie Hilt, Rose Borger, Anna Wargo; brother, John Yondura; and a grandson, Ryan Beblavy.
Service: Private funeral service is at the convenience of the family. Contributions in memory of Mary may be made to St. John Slovak Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 18, Lansford, PA 18232.
The Ovsak Funeral Home, Lehighton, is in charge of arrangements.
