Mrs. Mary M. Watto
Mrs. Mary M. Watto, 91, of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, Nov. 26, in the St. Luke's Hospital, Miners Campus, Coaldale. She was the widow of Thomas J. Watto, who passed away on April 20, 1991.
She was a seamstress for the former Kiddie Kloes Factory, Lansford, and the former Kay Jay Pants Company, Nesquehoning, until retiring.
Born in Lansford, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Baca) Lukca.
She was a member of St. John's Russian Orthodox Church, Nesquehoning, where she was a member of St. John's ARCY and St. John's Women's Club.
Mary will be deeply missed by her friends and loving family, whom she loved spending time with.
Surviving are three daughters, Mary Ellen Hawk, and her companion, William Kralik, of Nesquehoning, Nancy, wife of Edward Kerestus of White Bear, and Melissa "Missy" Watto of Albrightsville; a granddaughter Madelyn, wife of Aaron Littles; two great-granddaughters, Vivienne Marie and Juliette Littles; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Helena Lukca and Anna L. Miller; and four brothers John, Joseph "Shoesy," George and Michael.
Service: Panachida service 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, Joseph S. Blazosky Funeral Home, 81 E. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning, followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. in St. John's Russian Orthodox Church, 9 E. Railroad St., Nesquehoning, with the Rev. Robert J. Teklinski officiating. Interment, parish cemetery, Nesquehoning. Call 6-8 p.m. Friday and 9-9:30 a.m. Saturday. Parastas service 7:30 p.m. Friday.
