Michael C. Fritz, 44, of Lime Kiln Drive, Andreas, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 2, in the St. Luke's University Hospital, Fountain Hill. He was the husband of Tracey A. (Jas-inski) Fritz. They were married for four years. He worked for the Aramark Corporation, Breinigsville, and helped operate his family's farm in Andreas.Born in Lehighton, he was a son of Madeline E. (Hoppes) Fritz of Andreas, and the late Carl S. Fritz, who died Feb. 3, 1999.
A 1988 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School, he matriculated to Lincoln Technical School, earning his certification in electronics.
He was affiliated with Christ Evangelical Free Church, Lehighton.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and hunting, and proudly displayed his trophy Caribou and Moose. He was a member of the Ontelaunee Rod & Gun Club.
Pursuing his love of sports, he played softball for Zion's Stone Church and in the Bavarian League, and played volleyball in the Tamaqua Adult Leagues. He was an ardent Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Surviving in addition to his widow and mother are two sisters, Donna J. Curvey of Pottsville and Tammy L., wife of James G. Dean of Andreas; his paternal grandmother, Florence P. (Gilbert) Fritz, and an uncle, Nevin P. Fritz, both of Andreas; two nieces, Jennifer and Samantha; a nephew, Jon Alan Jr.; a great-niece Emma; his best friend, Joel Musselman; a cousin, Todd A. Cheese, and his wife, Stacey; and many other cousins.
Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 3, Christ Evangelical Free Church, Lehighton. Interment, church cemetery. Gathering of friends 6-8 p.m. Sunday and 10-11 a.m. Monday in the church.
