Michael Harakel Obituary
Jr.
Michael John Harakel Jr., 71, of Tamaqua, died May 10 in Bethlehem. He was the husband of Billie Jean (Schuetrumpf) Harakel. They celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary on May 15.
Prior to retiring, he had been employed by Poly Plastics in Delano.
Born in Frackville, he was a son of the late Michael Sr., and Mabel (Wagner) Harakel.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Frackville, and attended Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church in Tamaqua.
A 1965 graduate of the former Frackville High School, he was an avid hunter and fisherman, a lifelong Yankees fan and liked dancing to the "oldies."
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Lisa, wife of Marcello Geronimo, of Tamaqua; a son, Michael, III of Tamaqua; a stepgranddaughter, Gabriella Geronimo; a twin sister, Mary Lou, wife of David Acker, of Coatesville; several nieces and nephews.
Service: 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 16, Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 500 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, with the Rev. Kevin Roberts officiating. Interment, Odd Fellows Cemetery, Tamaqua. Call 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday. Online condolences at www.zgfuneralhome.com.

Condolences to Mickey's Family. I know he will be missed. I grew up with Mickey and couldn't have asked for a better friend a lot of great memories and I will never forget him. RIP MICKEY God Bless You and your Family in this very sad time.
