Mildred Lewis Obituary
Mildred Lewis, 97, of Hellertown, died on Saturday, May 25, 2024, in Easton.
She was the daughter of the late Howard and Mildred (Snyder) Lewis.
A 1944 graduate of Tamaqua High School, Mildred was a supervisor for 39 years at the Allentown Division of AT&T and was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Hellertown, Pennsylvania.
Mildred loved to travel, taking her nieces and nephews on vacations, and was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
She is survived by a sister, Sandra Hoppes of Hometown; a sister-in-law, Rita Lewis of Tamaqua; a brother-in-law, Ronald Walker of Tamaqua; and many nieces and nephews.
Mildred was preceded in death by brothers, Howard, and William Lewis; a sister, Barbara Walker; and a brother-in-law, Lamar Hoppes.
Call Friday, May 31, 2024, from 10-11 a.m. at the Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home, 500 East Broad Street, Tamaqua. Interment at Odd Fellows Cemetery, 503 West Broad Street, Tamaqua will follow. Memorial donations can be made to First United Church of Christ, 501 Northampton Street, Hellertown, Pennsylvania, 18055. Online condolences may be made at www.zgfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are being handled by the Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. Tamaqua.
