Courtney A. Murray
Nathaniel C. Murray, 16, and Courtney A. Murray, 13, of Mauch Chunk Road, Palmerton, died suddenly on Friday evening, Dec. 19, as a result of an accident in Lower Towamensing Township.
Nathaniel was born in Palmerton and Courtney was born in Lehighton. They were the children of Melissa Sue Murray, and her companion, Keith Weaver, of Palmerton, and Daniel Murray, and his wife, Larissa, of Summit Hill. Nathaniel was a ninth grade student at the BHA Packer Ridge Academy, Lehighton. He was an avid BMX enthusiast. Courtney was an eighth grade student at the Palmerton Junior High School. She was a Blue Bomber cheerleader.Surviving in addition to their parents are a brother, Jonathan Murray of Palmerton; paternal grandparents, William Murray of Jim Thorpe and Debra (Becker) Murray of Lehighton; maternal grandparents, Cheryl Binder and Robert and Cindy Whiteman, all of Palmerton; maternal great-grandmothers, Naomi (Swanger) Hollenbach of Lewisburg and Betty Serfass of Palmerton; aunts and uncles, AmyBeth and Anthony Hollenbach, Jessica and Jimmy Silvers and Bambi and Jillyan Nothstein, all of Palmerton, MaryAnn, Ashley and Sabrina Allesch, all of Lehighton, Cindy and Laurie Hollenbach and Aggie, all of Lewisburg, and several others; and cousins, Anthony, and his fiancée, Jenna, and baby Jase, Caleb, Lindsey, Olivia, and several others.
They are both survived by many friends and Courtney is also survived by special friends, Matt Reppert, George Shultz and Tyler Romig.
Service: A memorial service for the siblings will be held at noon Wednesday, Dec. 24, in St. John Lutheran Church of Towamensing, 2915 Fireline Rd., Palmerton, with the Rev. Jody L. Neifert officiating. Their interments will be private. Calling hours are scheduled from 10 a.m.-noon Wednesday in the church. Arrangements by Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Ave., Palmerton. Contributions in their names may be made to Carbon Co. Friends of Animals, 63 Broad St., Jim Thorpe, Pa. 18229. Online condolences can be offered at www.schislerfuneralhomes.com.

They were such great kids. I remember seeing them riding their bikes in town and always had a smile on their faces. They have touched everyones hearts. Today marks 11 months.. Rest easy our angels <3 <3

Here we are almost 5 months after the accident and it still seems so surreal! I keep watching the door, waiting for you to come in and say sorry it was just a horrible joke. At times, it feels like it was yesterday that we lost you beautiful souls. But it also feels like forever since I had that one last hug, last kiss, last night mom love you see ya tomorrow!!! It's the most heartwrenching thing I've ever been thru. As I'm writing this I'm writing to you just like I used too. You 2 left a unbelievable LEGACY that spans all the way to Texas and Florida!!!! Here we are 6 weeks later and it still feels like today. You fought together you laughed together you smiled together you hung together you made each other stronger and protected each other and now passed together. Not a second goes by that I don't think of you or miss your hugs and kisses. Not a second that goes by that a funny happy memory smacks me in the face and thru the tears makes me smile at the same time. You both were so strong willed so happy so strong. I will forever hold those tight to make the hard times a lil easier. Rest easy. And fly high my sweet angels. R.I.P. Nathaniel CourtneyAnne Mikey and Austin plz watch over us and help us bare the heartache. It memory and legacy will forever live on because we will make sure no one ever forgets. I don't know the family personally but wanted to send my thoughts and prayers for the loss of your two children. My niece went to school with them. They will be watching over your family as angels. Condolences to your family from mine....u protect your mom from heaven as the angels you are....help her in her thoughts of healing through her tragic loss of the whole situation...Melissa from one mother of three children to you...I have more compassion and remorse for you than I have felt for any one person....its hard to do but that child that child u physically hold each night through hugs needs you and will be the strength you need to accept this has happened to the angels your children are...once again our deepest sympathy. Courtney never missed an opportunity for a big hug whenever she visited me in class or whenever we passed each other in the hallway, and Nate, her big brother, her protector, also very huggable!
