Paul E. Kleintop

Paul E. Kleintop, 75, of East Lizard Creek Road, Lehighton, East Penn Township, died Sunday afternoon, June 1, 2025, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Gail D. (Fadden) Kleintop since July 11, 2019.

He was employed as a steam fitter by Local 420, Pipefitters Union, Philadelphia, for over 38 years retiring in 2008.

Born in Lehigh Gap, Northampton County, he was a son of the late Collier F. and LaRue (Meinhart) Kleintop.

He attended Dinkey Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ashfield.

A 1969 graduate of the Lehighton Area High School, he later served in the Navy, Vietnam Era, and achieved rank of PO 2/c.

Paul was a member of the American Legion Post 314, Lehighton, and the East Penn Sporting Club.

An avid deep sea fisherman, he also enjoyed collecting model trucks, coaching Little League Baseball and golfing. Paul was an avid Philadelphia Eagles Fan.

Surviving in addition to his widow are a daughter, Lisa Eckhart, and her companion, Lance Conrad, of Ashfield; sons, Michael, and his wife, Joani, of Jim Thorpe, Paul M. "Skip," and his wife, Marcie, of Lehighton; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Richard Kleintop of Arlington.

He was also predeceased by brother, Thomas; and a stepson, Brad Snyder in 2018.

Service: Funeral service with military honors 11 a.m. Friday, June 6, Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Ave., Palmerton. Call 10-11 a.m.. Friday. Contributions in his name may be made to American Legion Post 314, 314 Veterans Ave., Lehighton, PA 18235. Online condolences can be offered at www.schislerfuneralhomes.com.
