Randy Sherer Obituary
Randy M. "Digger" Sherer, 66, of Lehighton, entered into eternal rest suddenly on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022, in East Penn Township.
Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Willard and Virginia Mae (Smith) Sherer.
He was employed as a transportation specialist for Ziegenfus Coal and Stone, Palmer-
ton.
Randy enjoyed racing and watching NASCAR and football, but especially loved his free time.
Surviving are a daughter, Sheila Tessitore of Palmerton; a son, Travis Sherer of Lehighton; three grandchildren, Mollie Tessitore, Summer Sherer and Myah Scheirer; a stepson, Joshua Kresge of Palmerton; a great-grandson, Maverick Sherer; a stepgranddaughter, Katlynn Kresge; and a stepgreat-granddaughter Sabrina.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Markley.
Service: Graveside service noon Friday, Sept. 16, Towamensing Cemetery, Palmerton, with SALM Emma Weaver officiating. A celebration of life will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday at the Riverwalck Saloon, 101 Centre St., Parryville. Arrangements by Andrew P. Ovsak Funeral Home, Lehighton.
