Robert Earl Fatzinger Jr.

Robert Earl "Bob" Fatzinger Jr., 66, of Lehighton, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, in his residence.

Born in Lehighton on Oct. 14, 1958, he was a son of the late Robert Earl Fatzinger Sr. and Marlene D. (Hammel) Fatzinger.

He was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Lehighton.

Surviving are two daughters, Meghan Haas, wife of Dustin, of Mt. Morris, New York, and Hannah Hoke, wife of Michael, of California, Maryland; three grandchildren, Hazel Haas, Mazie Hoke and Oliver Hoke; and a sister, Barbara Pare, wife of Craig, and their son Alexander, of Greencastle, Indiana.

Bob was a 1976 graduate of Lehighton Area High School, a 1980 graduate of East Stroudsburg University and a 1985 graduate of Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia.

Post seminary, Bob worked for Vision Quest, guiding young men from at-risk communities to better themselves and their future. After ordination, Bob served as pastor at several ELCA churches. He then became Director of Family Promise of Carbon County, as well as Peaceful Knights.

Bob was Minister of Music at St. Matthew's ELCA Church, East Weissport/Lehighton.

Bob had a passion for music and theater and was a member of both the Pale Moon Players and Zion Opera Workshop.

Service: A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held Friday, July 11, at 11 a.m. in St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, 222 Church St., (East Weissport) Lehighton, with the Rev. Michael Frost officiating. Interment will be held at Lehighton Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name may be made to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church.
