Robert Pudelka
Robert Pudelka, 84, of Bertsch St., Lansford, died Thursday, July 24, in his home in Lansford.
He was the widower of Margaret "Peggy" (Markovich) Pudelka, who died on Dec. 16, 2009.
A Nesquehoning High School graduate, Bob was a member of the Coaldale United Methodist Church. He retired from Federal Warehousing in Newark, and Raritan, NJ., having worked 43 years.
Born in Nesquehoning, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Valuch) Pudelka.
He is survived by a daughter, Carol A. Penberth, wife of Ron, of Lansford; a son, Robert Pudelka, Jr., and his wife, Dang, of Laurel, Maryland; a brother, Leonard Pudelka and his wife, Kinny, of Oneida, New York; two grandchildren, Deborah Krajcirik and her husband, Bob, and David Penberth; and three great-grandchildren, Wes, Noah, and Mason.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Thomas, John, and Paul Pudelka.
Services: Arrangements entrusted to the Holmes-Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc. of 655 East Broad St., Tamaqua. Funeral service will be held at the Sverchek-Blazosky Funeral Home, 320 East Bertsch St., Lansford, at 11 a.m. Monday, July 28, with the Rev. Elisandra Garcia to officiate. Friends shall be received at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until time of services. Interment will be at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Orthodox Cemetery, Summit Hill. Memorials in his name may be made to the Coaldale United Methodist Church, Second St., Coaldale, Pa. 18218. Online registry and condolences may be signed at www.griffithsfuneralhomes.com.
