Ronald E. Blackwell
Ronald E. Blackwell, 76, of Slatington, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, July 19, 2022.
Born June 21, 1946, in Gilberton, to John and Susan (Harding) Blackwell.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1965 to 1969.
Ron was employed by AT&T for 34 years and retired in 2009.
He was a member of Valleyview Baptist Church, Northampton.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John, Jr.
Ron is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Susan; daughters, Kim, and husband Keith Hans, Mary Blackwell, and husband Ray Hooks; two grandsons, Tyler Hans and Greyson Hooks; sisters, Susan Davis and Linda, and husband Jim Zimmerman; eight nephews, four nieces and their children; devoted cousins, Raymond Blackwell, Betty Lutz, Joan Connor; as well as several other cousins.
Service: Funeral service will be held at noon on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Valleyview Baptist Church, 2870 Pheasant Drive, Northampton. Family and friends may pay their respects from 11 a.m. to noon. Interment, with military honors, to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Moorestown. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Ron be sent to Gift of Life, "Transplant Foundation", and mailed to Gift of Life Donor Program, 401 N. 3rd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123.
Arrangements are in the care of the Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.
