Ronald C. Serfass, 80, of Walnutport, Lehigh Township, died Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at Lehigh Valley Hospice Inpatient Unit, Allentown. Born in Lower Towamensing Township, he was the son of the late Preston A., and Evelyn M.G.M. (Schaffer) Serfass.
He was employed as a mechanic and general laborer by the former N.J. Zinc Co., Palmerton, for more than 20 years.
Ronald was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church, Aquashicola. Ronald served in the Navy, Vietnam era, and achieved the rank of SN. He enjoyed working on cars, auto racing and attending local speedways.
Survivors include his companion, Mary Jane (Solt) Stier, with whom he resided; sisters, Delores F. Smith of Nazareth and Verda J., wife of James P. Scheetz, of Slatington; and several nieces and nephews.
Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, April 14 at Salem United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 219, 4145 Forest Inn Road, Aquashicola, PA 18012. Call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday in the church.
Interment with military honors will be at Towamensing Cemetery, Third Street and Fireline Road, Palmerton. Arrangements under the direction of Campton Funeral Home, Palmerton. Online condolences at
