Ryan Brewton Obituary

Ryan Christopher Brewton was born Jan. 2, 1993, to a very proud mother, Ms. Kimberly Brewton. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. Henry Brewton, whom he looked up to and learned the lessons of manhood from, and his grandmother, Mrs. Frankie Brewton, whom he loved to sing with in the choir on Sunday mornings.
He received his education in the Liberty County School System. Ryan was always known to be a free-spirited young man, and his teachers loved him very much. Anyone who met him fell in love with him. He loved to laugh and joke all the time. You never saw him without a big smile on his face. He was very active in the youth departments of Agape Christian Fellowship and First Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. He graduated in 2013 from Bradwell Institute, pursued a career in the United States Army and was stationed in Alaska until his unexpected passing away.
Ryan's favorite color was blue and his meal wasn't complete unless he had his favorite foods - ham and macaroni and cheese. He loved computers, reading and listening to music in his spare time. His favorite song was "I believe I can Fly," and he had a very optimistic outlook on life. Ryan believed that the sky was the limit. He was one who would reach for the stars, and his outlook and attitude were an inspiration to those around him.
On Jan. 18, 2014, Ryan changed duty stations for the last time on Earth, and he now resides with his Heavenly Father and grandparents.
He leaves to cherish his beautiful memory his mother, Kimberly Brewton; one brother, Darius Brewton; one aunt, Myra Brewton; one uncle, Rodney Brewton; his close cousins, Taleah, Mattie, Donald and Henri Brewton, all of Hinesville; and a host of other uncles, aunts, relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, at First Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 124 Rebecca St., Hinesville. The Rev. Daisy Edwards will officiate. Interment with full honors will be in First Calvary Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery on Highway 84 in Hinesville.
Dorchester Funeral Home of Midway is in charge of arrangements.

I was both saddened and shocked to hear the news of Ryan's passing. I only had to opportunity to know Ryan as a young boy when he was a student at Frank Long Elementary. He had a joyful laughter and smile that was hard to forget.I feel very blessed and thank the Lord to have known and encountered one of his greatest creations, Ryan Christopher Brewton. My heart goes out to you Kim. Kim, I am so sorry to hear about Ryan. My heart is breaking for you.
Ryan was a good boy with a heart of gold. I'll never forget the first time I met him. My boys, Donald and Ryan were playing around in the front yard and all of a sudden a knock comes to the door. It was Ryan, he was standing there in tears because while they were all rough housing he thought he had hurt one of the boys. I couldn't help but hug him and tell him boys will be boys. He was so concerned and cared about others more than himself.
I'm blessed to have known him and my sons are as well. God bless you Kim, you are all in our hearts and in our prayers.
