Shirley Mooney Obituary
Shirley A. (Neff) Mooney, 69, of Oak Street, Palmerton, died peacefully early Wednesday morning, Aug. 13, 2025, in her home surrounded by her family.
Born in Coaldale, Schuylkill County, she was a daughter of the late James Neff and Shirley (Stuckley) Neff of Lehighton.
Shirley was a loving mother, grandmother and homemaker. She was a 1974 graduate of the Lehighton High School.
An avid guitarist, she enjoyed singing and all types of writing, especially poems.
Survivors: sons, Cameron L. Mooney and companion, Allison Brocius, with whom he resided, Ryan P. Mooney and companion, Sara Fink, of Lehighton, and Eran M. Mooney of Camp Hill, Cumberland County; four grandchildren, Devin, Eidan, Olivia and Harleigh; sister, Sara, wife of Todd Mertz of Lehighton; brothers, James of New York, John, Joe and fiancée, Lisa Miller, all of Lehighton, Jesse of Jim Thorpe; aunts, Norma, Lana and Linda; uncles, Paul, Ruffe and Francis.
